The parking lot can be a frustrating and ruthless place, especially when the parking lot is almost full. While looking for the perfect spot, you will soon discover that it can take quite a bit of effort to find it. The “perfect” spot does not matter to some drivers, but some will race around the parking lot like a vulture hungry for a parking spot. Are you one of the drivers who will not stop until you have found the best spot to park your vehicle? Check out this quick blog on Finding The Perfect Parking Spot.
As you have discovered, there are different types of parkers in every parking lot. Which one are you?
1. The Parker Who Parks Too Close To Others (Hopefully Not You!)
Who likes a driver who parks too close? No one! This person does not park between the lines and has no problem squeezing out of the three-inch gap they left you between both cars. So much so that you can’t help but wonder how he or she managed to get out of the vehicle. If someone has parked incredibly close to you, you should probably check your vehicle for any dents, dings, and scratches and pray that it passes your inspection.
2. The Parker Who Likes To Save Time
We are sure you have seen vehicles in the parking lot that were neatly and carefully reversed in the parking spot. What do you think about these people? Do you think they are show-offs because they show everyone they know how to drive and park their car in reverse? Why did they take that extra time to park in reverse when they went to the coffee shop for a few minutes? It’s always all about saving time! If they reverse into their spot, they can quickly rush out upon leaving. Fair warning, look out for these guys rushing in and out of the parking lot.
3. The Double Parker
How often have you seen a great-looking car take up more than one parking spot? That driver is likely telling you there is no way your little car will park next to his car. You agree that the car is nice, but that does not mean the car gets to take two parking spots, especially when there is no other parking spot opening. It’s rude and aggravating.
4. The Parker Who Disrespects The Curb
Do not disrespect the curb. The curb is not there for people to park on. We are also talking to all the Jeep owners out there. You do not have to show off those off-roading wheels by parking on every curb.
5. The Twin Vehicles
How many times have you circled a parking lot and discovered that multiple vehicles look the same and are all parked next to one another? Maybe the drivers wanted to keep the family together. Maybe the drivers wanted cars to bond in stores, restaurants, post offices, etc. Either way, it’s aggravating when you’re circling the parking garage looking for parking, and you keep seeing the same vehicle on every level.
6. The Parker Who Steals A Handicapped Parking Spot
How often have you seen someone knowingly park in a handicapped parking spot with no parking permit or tag? They’re only going to be in the store for a minute, so it’s perfectly fine, right? That’s the worst.
7. The Renter Who Parks Under A Tree
Most of us have spent some time under a tree because we needed a little shade, right? We are sure you have seen that vehicle parked under a lovely tree. However, when a vehicle is parked under a big shade tree, this can also mean that the driver will return to a nice present from the birds. So, take the shade, but you may need a car wash in the near future.
What process do you go through when looking for the right parking spot? What type of driver do you think you are? Either way, mobile parking apps are available to those seeking parking. Use the tools technology has given you.
